While we gear up for the next wave of Avira security, it has quickly become clear that some performance enhancements need not wait for the next version. It’s time to turbocharge AV10. Beginning June 28, SP2 will be deployed to Avira software, and you will glimpse the future of AntiVir.

• Enhanced Detection and Protection
SP2 taps into the latest research on behavior-based and heuristic detection, which catches undiscovered malware according to the way its code looks and acts.

• Upgraded Repair Functionality
Generic Repair and One-Click Removal functionality have been refined for comprehensive cleaning of the hard drive as well as the registry in the event of an infection.

• Improved Rootkit Detection
SP2 introduces a new driver for more aggressive tracking of hidden malware.

• A Redesigned WebGuard
Whenever WebGuard blocks a harmful website, the notification page will be not only more attractive but also more informative.

• Increased Compatibility
SP2 has been optimized for smoother, easier integration with Varian, Acronis, Vodafone Mobile Connect and other solutions.

• New Documentation
Revised, more detailed help files and user manuals will be released.

Important note

• Reboot required!
It is highly probable that users will need to restart their systems after SP2 is installed. Please verify your reboot settings save your work regularly to prevent a disruption.

• SP2 will be transmitted directly to your machine. You will not have to initiate the update on your own.
