Applies to Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations version 6.0.4.x

March 30, 2012 Kaspersky Lab announces the release of Critical Fix 2 (version 6.0.4.1611) for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4 (version 6.0.4.1424).

Critical Fix2 is integrated into the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 Windows Workstations MP4 installation package.

Changes in the version 6.0.4.1611 (compared with 6.0.4.1424):

Fixed issues:
The build includes all bugfixes from public patches A, D, and F.
Fixed the error related to the display of new messages in email client.
Fixed the error related to the application crash after logging out of the operating system and then logging back in again.
Fixed the error related to non-displayed Spam / Not Spam buttons in  Outlook® Express.
Fixed the error related to the application crash occurring while exiting from it.
Fixed the error causing incorrect time display in the header of the mail message generated by the application (daylight saving time is now taken into account).
Fixed the error related to the operating system crash and BSOD because of the rdbss.sys driver.
Fixed the error related to the operating system crash and BSOD in case of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4  installation over an older version of the application or in case of its reinstallation.
Addressed the problem related to configuring via a policy of Kaspersky Administration Kit how the computer protection statuses are displayed in the local interface.
Fixed the error related to failure to remove infected archives from the list of unprocessed objects in case when their processing is initiated via  Kaspersky Administration Kit.
Fixed the error related to the failure to display the application activity statistics on the side of Kaspersky Administration Kit for French localization of the management plug-in for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4.
Addressed the problem related to the decrease of updates download speed after the application keeps running for a while.

Arrangement of interface elements in the application windows has been corrected for some localizations.
Addressed the problem related to a temporary operating system freeze after switching from LAN to Wi-Fi LAN while Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 is running.
Fixed the error related to the functioning of packet filtration rules in the Anti-Hacker component: the rules would not work if the time interval defined for the rules included time before and after midnight.
Fixed the error related to addition of multiple records about modification of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 settings to the event log of Kaspersky Administration Kit done by the klnagent service.
Fixed incompatibility between the plug-ins of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 for Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Tracking functionality.
Fixed the errors occurring during creation of rules for the Registry Monitor in the operation of the Registry Monitor component and the management plug-in of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 for Kaspersky Administration Kit.
Fixed the error related to Microsoft Outlook 2003 crash during its start.
Device monitor supports now in addition to iPhone blocking of all devices belonging to the Portable device type.
Fixed the error related to the operating system crash and BSOD while the application is running in Citrix virtual environment.
Fixed incorrect display of the computer protection statuses in the local interface when the policy of Kaspersky Administration Kit is used to disable protection.
Fixed the error related to the failure to display notifications about revoked messages in Microsoft Outlook 2010 while the anti-virus plug-in of the mail client is active.
Addressed the problem with slow creation of new folders on a NAS while Proactive Defense is enabled.
Addressed the problem affecting loading of Internet and Intranet resources while the Web Anti-Virus is active: loading of Internet and Intranet resources on a client computer would stop at an arbitrary moment while the Web Anti-Virus was enabled on the computer.
Fixed the error related to a freeze of the operating system while running an update task.
Fixed the error related to the failure to open help from some windows of the management plug-in for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP4 via Kaspersky Administration Kit.

Improvements:
The release includes a new anti-virus database and updated INI files to identify incompatible products.
Processor  load caused by the avp.exe service process has been decreased.

Installation methods:

Critical Fix 2 can be used for initial installation of the application, as well as for upgrading any previous versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations. Critical Fix 2 can be installed either locally or in a centralized manner (using Kaspersky Administration Kit).

In order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations version 6.0.4.x on Windows Vista/Windows 7 OS according to minimum requirements, it is recommended to disable the option System Restore in system properties. This is required because if you have the option System Restore enabled, the system will need additional 500 MB of free disk space for successful installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

还能用于xp，vista，win7。不过安装在win7上，对系统的要求比安装在xp上高。
