Hi,
F-Secure Internet Security Technology Preview version 60 will be released today to all our users! This will again come as an automatic upgrade to all our users. This version will again have only Computer Security, so Online Safety is not going to be upgraded.
If your computer has not received this version and displayed a reboot request within the 24 hours after you've received this e-mail, please open a bug report immediately at https://beta.f-secure.com/.
ISTP version 60 brings back the e-mail scanning and web traffic scanning functionality. However, the web traffic scanning does not yet work together with the child and teenager modes in Online Safety. If you are using either of those modes on your computer, please turn the web traffic scanning off.
There are also several bug fixes in the Computer Security. Some of you have encountered Blue Screen of Deaths (BSOD), in other words your computer has crashed because of our product. These should now be fixed in this release.
If you still encounter a BSOD after Internet Security Technology Preview has been upgraded (and the computer rebooted), please open a bug report to us as soon as possible and remember to include the Support Tool report with it. If possible, please also describe what you were doing when the crash occurred.
After the upgrade, the files our ISTP 58 release accidentally placed in the C: or D: root directory will also be removed now with this version.
Finally, we just published a new survey focusing to our release notes. Please log in to https://beta.f-secure.com/ and answer the questions there. We would always want to improve our documentation according to our customers' needs, so please answer the survey as soon as you can.
PS. We also have a new beta project available for you! It is called F-Secure SafeCheck. With SafeCheck you can see if your computer's software is up to date and find the missing updates if needed.
Yours,
F-Secure Beta Piloting Team |
