I see an analogy with adding detection. Even though making a signature takes several minutes, we do it even if we know it may help less than 10 users in the world. Likewise it's with Anti-Theft; even if it doesn't protect a huge percentage of laptop users, saving a few thousands of them worldwide per year would be worth having it. We've already got requests for collaboration from the police and have had success.

As for sandbox, bear in mind that everything can be circumvented. There are maybe 2-3 strong ones while the others are more or less exploitable. It's similar with UAC; having it enabled will not ensure that, for instance, a rootkit will never install on a computer without user's consent.

那么，仲使我们有很多同学都觉得此功能很鸡肋，但既然目前已经走到这一步了，我们就好好利用这个吧。

其实有那么一个用途，就是在你不在电脑前面的时候，女友想查你有没有和小三或者情人的蛛丝马迹，那你就可以远程锁死，而不需要别的软件。

ESET Anti-Theft is a brand new feature useful mainly for owners of laptops. If one doesn't need it, they can keep it disabled. Including the feature in v6 has no effect on system resources.
Keep in mind that significant changes are always done under the hood and are not visible to users. With incredible malware detection rate and the volume of false positives kept at the bare minimum (it was probably years ago when ESET had a serious FP last time), it remains one of the top performers among today's security products.

你可能会觉得新的ESET没什么创新，其实所有的创新都在module update里面，这就是你为什么见到eset这么久都不急着出新版的愿意了。

其实一直以来单奔eset即可，最多配个Advanced system care，配合asc的全自动维护，根本电脑用多久都健步如飞。
