真的很为咖啡担心啊。好像现在的表现越来越差了。

dell明年起，在北美市场销售的产品全部预装Trend Micro，趋势取代了McAfee、Symantec成为DELL第一合作伙伴。

还有G-Mail，也放弃McAfee转投趋势科技。当然这是老早的事情了。

感觉趋势科技越来越NB了。昨天看了个帖子：

1楼——Anyone have any direct experience with these two AV suites? We are currently using McAfee ePO and the renewal is coming due. The local provincial government has a standing offer from Trend that is attractive price wise. McAfee has not given us any problems but Trend does include more in the bundle. So, I am contemplating the switch and was looking for real worlf people who use both for opinions and hopefully even someone who has done th switch, either way. thanks


2楼——imho every product (ok except symantec) is an improvement compared to mcafee. You might not have had any problems but mcafee is kinda bugridden.

I've had tons of troubles dealing with mcafee at clients. So far these are the incendents mounted up in 9 years:
An 5.5 Exchange org of 12 Exchange servers each server went it to BSOD after an update from Mcafee
Exchange restore failed because of the way mcafee integrates
Got pagepool memory clogging up file servers due to mcafee processes
Exchange store to 100% CPU due to mcafee
Clients appaling performance thanks to EPO
Backup speed of servers reduced to half
And the things i can't come up with right now

Needless to say i'm not a big fan..
Till now i've only came across with one isseu of Trend: office scan gave some clients a lockup after an update


n楼——I've run Symantec, McAfeee and TM.

McAfee is a pain. Clients fall out of synch and fail to get updates. It acts like a virus at times. Had a site where it would refuse to uninstall on around 50% of PC's. Half the problems I've reseached for MOM or W2003 in the last few years have had "uninstall McAfee" as a potential solution.

Symantec. It's been a while since I've run it and it was only on smaller sites. Way too complex for what should be a simple solution. Looked like there was too much that could break.

TM... my favoured solution. Officescan is such a simple product. Install, deploy, & push out updates. I have had some buggyness with client updates (clearly visible in the web console) but support were quick to turn around patches. However, I can't comment on more recent versions. I think 5.58 was the last version I managed. I think they were planning to merge Server Protect into OfficeScan and to add in things like a firewall (WHY?!?!?). One nice thing about TM is that they licensed based on user numbers ... I had way more machines than users :-)

I'm eager to see the final product from MS. I think there might be some great potential for easy management/deployment there.


楼主——I updated yesterday from ePO 3.5 to 3.6 and the interface got more confusing. I am probably going to jump to Trend but that said I cannot say anything bad about McAfee other than the support for certain issues was suspect at best. The main one that comes to mind is Event Id 6004 & 3019 being triggered, but they had little to no effect on the systems. Thanks to all.

Sophos AV - V. Good.
Symantec - LAME


Haven't heard much about CA e-trust or trend.

We use ePO a lot. The only thing I will say is I'm looking at this in the small-medium enterprise market. 2,000 - 15,000 user base.

bug多。不稳定。价格高。Symantec好像更差。他们好像都粉喜欢趋势，价格低，又稳定。。。

Microsoft steals market share

Symantec and McAfee see drops in market share.

A report by analyst firm NPD Group has revealed that anti-malware heavyweights Symantec and McAfee both lost market share following the release of Microsoft's consumer product Live OneCare last year.




According to the report, Symantec's Norton product took 64.7% of the US retail market in the fourth quarter of 2006, down from 76% in the same period in 2005. McAfee's market share dropped from 14.4% in 2005 to 13% in 2006. Meanwhile, the news was happier for CA and Trend Micro, with their market shares jumping by 3.4% and 0.6% respectively. Just six months after its release, newcomer Microsoft Live OneCare took a respectable 4.4% of the market during the fourth quarter.

呵呵。希望如此。反正最近觉得很不爽，关于咖啡的负面消息很多

不过我现在用着McAfee 12-in-1的个人版，实在是好流畅啊

所以更觉得不爽。。。我希望McAfee是世界第一。。。结果现在咋有种要被老三超过的感觉。。。
