How to delete Microsoft IME from Windows 8/Windows 8.1 (as well as server edition related to):

Step 1:

Terminate process "Microsoft IME" using taskmgr.exe.

Step 2:

Use Control Panel's "Language" icon to change language preferences.

Step 3:

Click "Options" link to add or remove IME.

Now you will see "delete" link greyed before is available to click now.

Step 4:

Simply click it.

And you will notice that Microsoft IME now has been removed.

You may need to restart or at least log off your PC to make this change take effect.

Try not use Google Translation, or you may not be able to understand it correctly.

The third line: The process name of Windows 8 task manager has been changed from taskmgr.exe to tm.exe. Hence, pls use "task manager" rather than "tm.exe".
