Hi Folks,
As you may know, Google has changed their policy regarding toolbars, which now requires that customers get all toolbars from their Google Chrome Web store. This affects Norton Products, as the Norton Toolbar can no longer be installed locally, but must be obtained from the Google Chrome Web store.
For this reason, we're releasing a patch for the Norton Toolbar that addresses this issue. Customers will be receiving a patch for the Norton Toolbar, and will see that there is no Norton Toolbar in Google Chrome. When they attempt to login to ID Safe from the main UI, they will then see the below message, showing them how to get the Norton Toolbar.
There is one scenario that is mildly inconveniencing for some customers. If they install a fresh copy of 21.2 and get all the latest LiveUpdates, when clicking INSTALL NOW on the page shown above, they may see an ITEM NOT FOUND message. However, if the customer checks the Customize and Control Google Chrome section, then view the New Extension Added area, they will see the toolbar listed. They can just enable the toolbar from the New Extension Added area.
