Already running beta? Run LiveUpdate. Or are you new to beta? In that case, visit Norton Beta Center, download build 22.6.0.142 and simply run LiveUpdate!
We have new Public Beta builds (22.7.0.44) of Norton Security available through LiveUpdate!
To access the new build, simply run LiveUpdate from your 22.7.0.34 Norton Beta Product. You will see a few updates download and apply. Keep running LiveUpdate until it asks you to apply the patch to the updated build. Once you apply the patch, you will be running the new build.
If you're running Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 Update or Windows 10 Tech Preview, you will be able to apply the update without rebooting!
(Note: Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista users will be required to reboot the computer after the patch is applied in order to use the new build)
Please note that you must have 22.7.0.34 or 22.6.0.142 beta build to receive the update to build 22.7.0.44. Click on Support from the Main User Interface and About to verify your installed version.
If you need to download build 22.6.0.142so that you can LiveUpdate to the new patch, simply navigate to Norton Beta Center, select Norton Security, and then download the product.
Please note: This new build (22.7.0.44) is only available through LiveUpdate. We will post an update to this announcement when the full build is available for download.
Your current beta test subscription will be carried over if you performed a LiveUpdate. You will have the opportunity to Renew the subscription for an additional 14 days when the product is about to expire, or fully expires. Please note: each beta subscription can only be renewed for an additional 14 days once.
To verify you have the latest build, please launch the Norton Product Main User Interface, click Support on the top right side, and select About. The version number should read 22.7.0.44:
Note: Not all previously submitted issues have been resolved with this build. We will continue to resolve issues throughout the beta testing duration. If you see an issue you previously reported but it has not yet been corrected, feel free to post an update on that particular thread (do not start new threads for the same issues). We will have all issues resolved prior to final release.
Please remember that the Public Beta builds are Pre-Release Beta builds. Please do not install these products on Production Systems. While we do not anticipate critical failures, Pre-Release Beta Builds MAY malfunction. If you do install on a computer with sensitive information, be sure to make a complete backup of all your important files to prevent the possibility of data-loss.
