The process known as Microsoft .NET Framework optimization service belongs to software Microsoft .NET Framework by Microsoft .

Description: The original ngentask.exe is an important part of Windows and rarely causes problems. Ngentask.exe is located in a subfolder of C:\Windows (typically C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\). Known file sizes on Windows 10/8/7/XP are 85,096 bytes (33% of all occurrences), 84,560 bytes or 84,648 bytes.
The file is a Windows core system file. The ngentask.exe file is a trustworthy file from Microsoft. The program is not visible. The file is digitally signed. Therefore the technical security rating is 0% dangerous.

Important: Some malware camouflages itself as ngentask.exe, particularly when located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder. Therefore, you should check the ngentask.exe process on your PC to see if it is a threat. We recommend Security Task Manager for verifying your computer's security.
