McAfee Anti-Malware Engine 5.3.00 - Service Pack 1 Beta 1Product Overview
To aid continuous improvement of our Anti-Malware Engine we will be releasing regular Beta Engines throughout the development of Service Pack 1 for the 5300 Anti-Malware Engine, allowing for regular feedback from the Beta community. This will enable you to be directly involved in the quality of our Anti-Malware Engine, which forms the core malware detection and repair component of many McAfee products, throughout our development cycle of Service Pack 1 for the 5300 Anti-Malware Engine.
Service Pack 1 for the 5300 Anti-Malware Engine is delivered as a component update, distributed via ePO for Windows, Linux and MAC.
Releases of the Beta Engines will be made at incremental points throughout the feature development of the new Anti-Malware Engine. We are expecting to release a new Beta Anti-Malware Engine every month, with the aim of releasing Service Pack 1 for the 5300 Anti-Malware Engine during the first quarter of 2009.
Important Note
There is an outstanding issue with the deployment of the 5300 Anti-Malware Engine Service Pack 1 which will cause the deployment to fail with GSE 7 and GSD 7. Please do not attempt to deploy the Service Pack until this issue has been resolved.
