We have successuflly reached the end of the Beta testing period for AVG 9.0 consumer version. All of the critical issues or concerns you raised have been identified, evaluated and fixes have been provided where necessary.

Several bug reports you sent back to us have been postponed (depending on the problem severity) to future bug-fix releases or new versions. All of the (bug) reports that are missing vital information will be invalidated in the next few days.

Next in line is the evaluation of your overall product feedback and BETA test closure, followed in the near future by the public release of the product.


Allow me to express our sincere thanks to everyone who cooperated with us and helped with achieving the difficult task of pre-release product quality evaluation. Winners of the BETA test contest will be notified via e-mail in the next couple of days and publicly announced (nicknames) in the News section.

If you like, you can keep the current version of AVG 9.0 directed at our Beta Update URLs to continue testing any of the future 'BETA' versions (will be automatically updated).


The following program BETA versions are still available for your evaluation:

AVG 9.0 Internet Security Business Edition (end-user protection)
AVG 9.0 E-mail/File Server Edition (server protection)
Remote Administration (admin tool)
AVG RescueCD (rescue tool)

We are very interested in hearing your thoughts on the Business Edition products. If you experience any problems, please make sure to report it to us for checking.
