Hello! This forum section is dedicated to the open beta testing of Kaspersky Total Security.
Beta-versionis a version of the product officially released for external testing,which has most of the functionality of the finished productincorporated. Beta-versions are intended to identify errors and defectsin the product, whilst also getting different opinions and observationsabout product operation and aesthetics. On completion of the testing ofthe product and the realisation of the technical release, the mostactive beta-testers who have contributed to the development of theproduct will be rewarded, and given a free 1 year license for theproduct which was tested. Please onlytake part in beta testing if you are willing to accept these conditionsand are confident in your technical ability. If you are unsure, pleasedo not take part in beta-testing and wait for the product release.
Please read the following FAQ carefully. There have been changes to the bug reporting procedure in comparison with KAV/KIS 2010 beta-testing cycles.
We have compiled the following useful information, which will help you in beta-testing the product.

Section 1. Beginning testing: Loading, installing and activating the beta-version.
Section 2. Organisation of testing
2.1 Antivirus functionality- Detections (incl. Heuristics), disinfection and deletion. Performance and ODS task management.
2.2 Information security- Backup, encryption, virtual keyboard, password manager.
2.3 GUI- Graphical User Interface (Bug reports will only be accepted on standard skin)
2.4 Application control, firewall, sandbox
2.5 Traffic filtration- Web antivirus, IM antivirus, Mail scanner, Parental control, Anti-phishing
2.6 Compatibility problems- Crash dumps and freezes of KTS, and also problems with other applications after installing KTS
2.7 Extra functionality- Vulnerability scan, System tune up, AVZ scripts, rescue disk, Antispam
2.8 Installation, modification and uninstallation of product, database updater
Section 3. Troubleshooting and sending of necessary information to “Kaspersky Lab” developers.
