1. About VSAPI

The Trend Micro virus scan engine, VSAPI (short for Virus Scan
Application Program Interface) is a robust, industry-leading,
carrier class virus scanning and cleaning module. It is at the
heart of all Trend Micro enterprise and personal antivirus
products.
1.1 Overview of This Release

VSAPI 9.000-1003 is a official release that includes several new features
and enhancements. It also includes all applicable bug fixes released
earlier.
Note: Trend Micro recommends updating to pattern file 6.375.00 or
later after updating to this scan engine release.

Install this release if you are running an earlier VSAPI version,
especially if you are experiencing issues.

7. Known Issues

7.1.1 The Shellcode Scanner does not support the detection of
shellcode viruses in VB and ASP format.
7.1.2 The Shellcode Scanner does not support the detection of
encrypted JavaScript content.
7.1.3 To fully leverage this release, products should allow users
to input the characters "*" and "?" in the file/folder
exception list.
