VIPRE & CounterSpy Consumer v4.0 Beta 1

We are very pleased to announce the Beta 1 release of VIPRE 4.0 Consumer. There are three products available for testing:

• VIPRE Premium with Firewall
• VIPRE Antivirus + Antispyware
• CounterSpy

There are a number of features added in the Firewall version:

• Basic Firewall protection
• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
• Boot-time firewall protection
• Web Filtering of specific content
• Bad website blocking
• Host Intrusion Prevention Systems
• Anti-phishing

There are a number of improvements under the hood as well, to make scanning faster and better, improvements to Active Protection, protection against false positives on Windows system files, and much much more.

We are looking for full and complete testing on all three products. We are particularly interested in feedback on the firewall functionality. Please post all comments to the CONSUMER section of the beta forum.

Based on popular demand, we are providing a 60-day key for the beta products. If the beta period runs longer, we will internally extend the expiration date.
