看到了这几天讨论了这两个软件的比较多所以忍不给EMSI的developer发了邮件
Hi Ray,

1st – about the malware IDS.
Mamutu is just a Module of the Anti-Malware that was made as a separate product that can be used as the BB layer in case we are using other AV solutions

As for heuristics. You can use it if you want. Use Custom scansets and switch it on.
Since version 4 that Heuristics was switched Off as a default because as any heuristics it can increase the number of FPs.

Ashampoo

All “they” (Ashampoo) and most sources saying that there are two integrated engines of renowned Software

There are just rumours that previously they used Avira's engine but dropped it and incorporated both a-squred's and Ikarus's engine

I am not aware of that and will try to find out.

I have a bit of a doubts because Ashampoo Firewall for example was the only Firewall incompatible wit a-squared.

The problem (specifics of hooking methods) could not be solved for a long time.
Then with one of the versions of Ashampoo one user only reported that he was able to use it together wit a2... but then few month later there was another report about incompatibilities.

Well, Ashampoo Firewall and inability to update a-squared is definitely a special and separate issue than using engines, but I do have doubts that the agreement could be reached in such situation.

Again – I will try to find out

Mamutu 已经完全集成在A2，Mamutu 2.0只是A2的一个模块，现在A2把它叫做IDS


关于A2是有启发式的只是默认是关闭的


yes, Ashampoo has a license for using a2 engines


Ashampoo的确用的A2引擎，防火墙式自己做的
