A2 V5文件传输测试

So here are the new results of the test.
This time i did it on a real machine (NOT VM).

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Processor: Intel E2180
Ram: 2GB
HDD: 250gb WD

Used a 2GB USB for this test
The files was composed 1.84GB of random files i took from my pc.
Here's a report of the types/size of the files that were used.

Settings of A2 was:
Malware-IDS: All rules
File Guard: Activated
**Aditionally scan all files when they are read
**alert Riskware
**alert Unknown Malware (Heuristics)
And the scan only the following extensions was UNCHECKED

So the results were: (Time format is Minutes/Seconds)

Transferring 1.84GB of random files with A-Squared TURNED ON took 6:00 minutes Exactly!
With an average transfer speed of: 5.24 MB/s

Transferring 1.84GB of random files with A-Squared TURNED OFF took 2:46 minutes
With an average transfer speed of: 11.37 MB/s

In the process i didn't use the PC, to prevent interruptions.

So this is it

So as we can see in both tests, with A-Squared OFF, speeds were almost twice as fast.
Test 1: 222% faster
Test 2: 216% faster

After doing this test and comparing it to my old results, i think the first one was pretty close in accuracy.

Quite a heavy performance impact but normal under those circumstances. Each file is actually scanned twice: Once on the old HDD before reading and once on the new HDD after being written. This also explains why the second test is roughly about twice as fast since the file is only scanned once on the new HDD.
