We have new Public Beta builds of Norton Internet Security 2011 and Norton AntiVirus 2011 available through LiveUpdate!
Build 18.1.0.30 has been posted on the LiveUpdate servers and is now available!
To access the new build, simply run LiveUpdate from your Norton 2011 Beta Product. You will see a few updates download and apply. Keep running LiveUpdate until it asks you for a Reboot. Once you reboot, you should have the new build.
Please note that you must have build 18.1.0.22 or 18.0.0.128 to receive the update to build 18.1.0.30. This LiveUpdate patch will not go out to any of the other previous beta builds. Click on Support from the Main User Interface and About to verify your installed version.
If you need to download build 18.0.0.128 so that you can LiveUpdate to the new patch, simply navigate to Norton Beta Center, select Norton Internet Security 2011 or Norton AntiVirus 2011, and then download the product.
Please note: This new build (18.1.0.30) will only be available through LiveUpdate. You will not be able to get the new build through the Norton Beta Center.
Your current beta test subscription will be carried over if you preformed a LiveUpdate.
To verify you have the latest build, please launch the Norton Product Main User Interface, click Support on the top right side, and select About. The version number should read 18.1.0.30:
Please remember that the Public Beta builds are Pre-Release Beta builds. Please do not install these products on Production Systems. While we do not anticipate critical failures, Pre-Release Beta Builds MAY malfunction. If you do install on a computer with sensitive information, be sure to make a complete backup of all your important files to prevent the possibility of data-loss.
