- Autorun protection: Protection against malware, which spread using the autorun.inf file, mainly on pendrives and which have been spreading extensively lately using this method. The new setting will be enabled by default and the product will not allow the opening of autorun.inf and in case of extended protection, the writing of the file.
- Host protection: the product will not allow the writing of the host file, which will block the potential activity of numerous malware.
VirusBuster Central Management Solution
The new developments in the product aim to extend the number of tools available for administrators, which make managing the network easier, provide more information about the status of the system and enable simple access and analysis of data. This also helps in providing the needed reports to the organization’s management and executives.
Extended central monitoring options
It is much easier to overview every information regarding computers oin the network and the range of the information has been extended. Besides the installed product versions you can overview configurations, operating systems and possible removed or active infections.
The display can be customised in the list of computers and after clicking on specific items a summary is displayed containing all information about a specific computer.
Improved reports
The new version will contain a wide range of report types which can be either displayed inside the product console or can be sent in e-mail as a pdf file to any address. The pre-defined reports let you create overviews about the status of managed computers, used licences, possible errors or malware, which have been detected in the network, should you be interested in the most infected computers, most common malware or all infections.
Central log
The product displays all events from managed computers in pre-defined categories (virus scan, quarantine messages, etc.), but the central log can also be filtered by any individual need. The full log of specific computers can also be displayed if we are interested in just one desktop computer or server.
