Eset appreciates (a lot) all and every sample/s sent to its labs (samples@eset.com). Every sample is logged and examined using various methods. Addition of a sample-signature into the database is made on a need-to basis. Extraction of a signature of a sample is an automated process and could be completed in no time. However, Eset does not want to take part in a 'maximum-size-of-the-database' race and prefers to keep the database clean, i.e. without 'meaningless' benign signatures.

Speed of update and reaction time is of essence. Eset is fully aware of that. Advanced Heuristics has been developed and implemented with that in mind. The only acceptable reaction time is equal to zero. Once again, we would like to thank you all: for both the samples and your patience.

提醒一下EQ2同学，刚去卡巴官方论坛看到IBK打算在4th June公布他做的关于启发的测试结果，敬请关注一下
贴上那里的一个发言，EQ2懂英语，不翻译了

I for one does not only want to know if it is detecetd but also is the program able to remove, disinfect the virus. I did some tests with malware samples. I tried them both on ESS and KIS 7. There where samples ESS detected and KIS did not at first.( offcourse I did sent all these samples to newvirus@kaspersky.com ) But there where more samples KIS 7 does detect and ESS did not.
Half oF all the samples ESS detected ESS was not able to deklete or disinfect. KIS was able to delete or disinfect with all samples ( one of these was/ is very hard though)
I believe this is more important than just the detection. If KIS does not detect it immedialtely we all are able send the sample to Kaspersky and in no time KIS does detect and disinfect.

保持小的病毒库是从扫毒时间来考虑的他们这样做也有一定的道理，，，只不过我们这些需要安全感的人不同意就是了

拜托，别带有色眼镜看NOD32，你说的这段话里面没什么大不了的，Half oF all the samples ESS detected ESS was not able to deklete or disinfect。deklete不懂是什么意思，我权且认为该是delete。说NOD32不会delete只能说并不会使用NOD32.当然NOD32的disinfect的确不怎么样，而且看来他这个测试基本上是为卡巴测试的

最后一句觉得像是开会时发言.....
唉...NOD32这样下去前景真的很令人担忧啊....不过ESET的未来方向是ESS，NOD32不会是主力产品了，EQ2兄不如以ESS的视角写信去看看
