FortiClient Endpoint Security v4.0 MR2 Patch 3 is also known as v4.2.3.271.

What’s New
FortiClient v4.0 MR2 Patch 3 includes the following new feature in addition to the bug fixes
listed in Section 4:
‧ Language support for Russian.
‧ Option to hide Antispam Black / White / Banned word list . This can be done by using a
new installer commandline option ( SHOWBLACKLISTS )

FortiClient v4.0 MR2 Patch 2 included the following features
‧ Trusted and categorized applications no longer cause firewall popup messages.
‧ Firewall related logging has been improved – firewall log messages now include more
descriptive information on the reason traffic was blocked.
‧ A “Diagnostics” button has been added to the Help and Support tab.  The Diagnostics
button opens a window that allows the user to enable/disable the FortiClient proxy
(FortiProxy.exe).  This feature is intended to help diagnose proxy related conflicts.
WARNING: Disabling the proxy disables all features that make use of the proxy,
including antivirus scanning, antispam, web filtering and WAN Optimization.

FortiClient v4.0 MR2 included the following new features:
‧ A new antivirus engine (v4.1).  The new AV engine includes many improvements to
provide better virus/malware detection and cleaning.
‧ Usability improvements such as reducing the number of firewall popups.
‧ Web filtering configuration and performance improvements (the web filtering UI has
been redesigned).
‧ A new “resume download” capability for FortiGuard updates – interrupted updates no
longer have to be completely restarted.
