Windows虚拟机（Virtual PC）是微软最新的虚拟化技术，该技术可以帮助用户在一台计算机上同时运行多个操作系统，当然了，Windows虚拟机仅支持Windows系统，并不支持苹果Mac OS X和开源系统。
微软今天发布了Windows虚拟机的最新版6.1.7600.16393，主机支持的操作系统为：Windows 7家庭普通版、Windows 7家庭高级版、Windows 7专业版、Windows 7旗舰版、Windows 7企业版。
客机支持的操作系统包括：Windows XP SP1专业版、Vista企业版SP1及后续版本、Vista商用版SP1及后续版本、Vista旗舰版SP1及后续版本、Windows 7专业版、Windows 7企业版、Windows 7旗舰版。其中，Vista商用版和Windows专业版不支持虚拟应用程序。
