• Increased reliability/stability, e.g. reparation of registry keys that have been altered by malware
• Decreased use of resources on systems that have been running for long periods of time
• Increased security protection of your Avira product
• Increased protection for the user by enabling the enhanced process protection by default
• Complete log files that provide more useful details about the scan results
• Improved AntiVir security service, responding to changes by Windows Update
• In case of malware infection better repair capabilities for infected files
• Increased compatibility with a number of solutions such as e.g. Varian or Acronis
• Increased compatibility of the AntiVir Firewall with various applications
• Faster login and reliable response in Active Directory environments
• SMC Integration improvements, e.g. modules like ProActive can be installed via SMC command
• More detailed information about the current security status
• Increased usability by improving drag&drop of shortcuts into the control center
• Warning messages about found malware are more comprehensive for the user
• New Webguard blocking page has clearer and more modern interface
• The scanner will not detect files again that the user has deemed as harmless
• No popups or annoying messages using silent scanning
• The scanner can handle files that have long file paths
• AntiVir is overall more stable and fully compatible with the Windows operating system
• Some localized strings are now displayed correctly
• Less interference by the FireWall by newly added common vendors to the database
• Increased accuracy in the reporting of canceled scan jobs
• Easier deactivation of the Guard by the user
• Clearer information about necessary reboots in the case of an infected operating system that needs reparations
